I have been asked, if we still fall into sin.  Sin is one of the tricks of satan to make us forget about what Jesus did for you and I when HE died on the cross.

Satan is trying to make us believe that Jesus lied to us.  If you are not strong in your faith or do not know what the Word says, then satan can get you to believe you are still a sinner.

If satan can get you to believe that you still walk in sin or can fall back into sin, then what would be the reason for your belief or source of faith.

This kind of thinking would eliminate why Jesus died on the cross.

Remember Jesus came to take away the sins of the world.

If Jesus took away the sins, how can we still be under sin?

As a believer, washed with the blood of Jesus Christ, you are clean. You are cleansed of all sins. You have come into the light.

In 1 John 1: 6-7, if we say that we have fellowship with God and walk in darkness; we lie and do not practice the truth.  But, if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us of all sin.

Jesus tells us in John 8:12 that He is the light of the world. He who follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

When you walk in the light, you are always in the light.  If you should stumble, you stumble in the light and the blood of Jesus cleans you. You do not stumble into darkness.  God is light and in Him is NO DARKNESS – AT ALL. 1 John 1:5

Look at it this way; you are in your house and you stumble. Where are you stumbling? You stumble in your own house, Right. You did not end up outside of your enclosed protective structure just because you stumbled.

“The same as in nature as in the Spirit”

You do not have to go into a two or three-day prayer of forgiveness or any other ritual to be back in the light. You were never in danger of being in darkness just because you stumbled.

Furthermore, Jesus is not coming back down to earth and go through it all again just because you or I sinned.

God will forever back up His Word. The Word says that, Jesus came to take away the sins of the world from the beginning of time to the end of all times. Therefore, your sins and mine have been placed on Jesus at the cross. So forevermore, His rightness is on you.

This does not mean you should go around sinning. When we sometimes stumble or have a bad thought; just know that His blood is washing us clean.

These things I write to you so that you may not sin. 1 John 2:1-2
