In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the earth.
Reading from Genesis, the first two chapters, we read that God created everything. “Then God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male, and female He created them”.
God created the spirit of man in His image. We know this because God is a spirit and He created man in His image-the spirit image. Now you read where God formed man out of the dust of the ground. Man became flesh.
On the seventh day God, He rested from all activity. The work that He had done was complete.
Reading from Chapter 2: 15, the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden, which God had made for man to tend to and keep it.
Nowhere in the Bible does God ever give the formed body over to man to do what he wants to it.
Nowhere in the Bible, does God gives anything that God made over to man.
The only thing God gave man was the free will to choose right from wrong or good from bad.
People know that when we buy anything we get a Pink Slip (or title) for what we purchase. It is the only way we can say it belongs to us. The Pink Slip is the only thing that a court of law looks at when you are trying to prove you purchased something.
God never gave us the Pink Slip to this body He formed from the dust of the ground nor this life that He blew breath into, or this world (the garden) where He placed us (man).
We never purchased this body, this life, or anything on this earth. It all was given to us free of charge.
Jesus paid a price for our lives after Adam the first man made a mess of things.
So what makes us think we have the right to do what we want; to our bodies, our life, this world or the things in this world.
Who benefits from us doing whatever we want to do? Think about that.
In Chapter 6 of Genesis, God was already sorry that He had made man. God said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth.” For God had seen the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent, of the thoughts, of the heart, was only continual evil. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
Now Noah (one man) found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah found grace. We can find grace in the eyes of the Lord also. Should I say that grace can found us?
God did give us a way out of the mess we find ourselves in. He sent His Son Jesus Christ. “For whoever believes in Him will have eternal life”.
God did not give us the Pink Slip. He gave it to Jesus, so we need to check ourselves and make sure that Jesus is in the center of all that we do.
