THE BREAD OF LIFE

THE BREAD OF LIFE THE BREAD OF LIFE
Understanding the Holy Communion

To understand the Holy Communion, we need to understand that it is a two-step process.
The first step is the Bread.
Ask yourself, what is the bread? In addition, why do you take the bread?
I know you say that bread represent Jesus’ body. Yes and No. It does not represent His body-it is His body.
This is how you must take it (the bread) as His body. Throughout the New Testament, Jesus tells us “that He is the bread of life.”
If anyone eats of Him, they should never die but have eternal life.
When you eat the bread, you are eating Jesus’ body replacing your body for His. Just as He replaced His body for yours, on the cross, all your sickness, pains, and transgressions by His stripes were all healed. Read Isaiah 53:4. It states, grief’s and sorrows. But when you read Matthew 8:16-17, Isaiah said:
“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with the Word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:”
“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”
God knew that His words would be misinterpreted, so He put in place where to find the truth. You have to search it out, you have to let the Holy Spirit take you by the hand and lead you.
What has happened is that Priest, Preachers, Teachers, The Pope and such have stopped looking for God’s guidance on what they are calling everyday things. Some things have become a ritual in religion.
It has been going on for so long and been passed down through the years. People just assume that it is right and this how God means for us to understand it.
Someone like you and me, we look at it and say NO! Something is wrong. Then we look and search out the truth and allow the Holy Spirit to show us.
The second step is the Blood.
It’s like when I was young; I was raised in a Catholic church and I can remember sitting in church wondering why. Why the Priest back is turned to us? Why was he speaking in a diffident language? Why is he the only one that gets to drink the blood (communion)? The blood has this power in it but he was the only one to drink the power. It was not until years later that the Catholic Church stated that the people could drink the blood also. By that time, I had moved on.
The blood is for all our sins, the past, present and future.
In Matthew 26:28 Jesus says; “Drink from it. All of you, for this is My Blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
The blood is for our sins.
When you read in I Corinthians and it states, “Whoever eats this bread or drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, Not discerning the Lord’s body. (Discerning come from discern – not to recognize as separate or different.)
Understand unworthy manner is an action not that person. He did not say, “If you are unworthy” it is your action that is unworthy if you are doing it without understanding. He is saying to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. It is not a ritual.
Understand that eating the whole body of Jesus is for you so your broken body will be whole.
Drinking the Blood of Jesus is for remission of sins.
Adam (the first man) ate and put the whole world in condemnation.
Jesus (the second man) came and said eat of Him and it will restore the whole world through redemption. Ephesians 1:7
We are priests, so we can give ourselves Holy Communion.
In Revelation 1:5-6 Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
If you’ve been diagnosed with a disease/illness or know someone who has been, speak Psalm 91 over life declaring Psalm 118.
Tell yourself or them that by His stripes you are healed and take of Jesus every day or as often as you can. There is nothing you can do that pleases Jesus more than you feeding off Him.
Tell Jesus from your heart that you understand and believe. By taking His Holy body you are made whole for He took your broken body on the cross so that you can be healed and set free. Amen

God Bless you
