BREAK THE RULES

BREAK THE RULESBREAK THE RULES
My friends, I remember looking at this movie one day. It told the story of a man who wanted to become a doctor. Not just any doctor but a doctor that makes his patient laughs as part of their treatment.
This movie was based on a true story.
The first year medical student was breaking the rules passed down through the years. He was told that doctors are to treat the illness not the person. Doctors were to have their patients lie in bed, with no noise or movement and wait until they (the doctor) did their thing to heal them.
The lead doctor (the teacher) could not accept the young doctor’s ideas. The teacher told him that this is the way it has been done for years and the training come from some of the best minds in the field.
This one-year medical student could not come in and change things that his father, grandfather and his great grandfather before him were doing. The young doctor just didn’t know enough.
The teacher couldn’t see what the young doctor could see. The young doctor was looking through new eyes and peering deeply into the spirit of the patient. He showed love and compassion.
I compare it to what some churches are doing today.
The people (patients) come into the church (hospital) and sit there and the Pastor (doctor) tells the church what they think people need to hear. They cannot move or laugh unless asked to. You are just sitting there listening to the Preacher beat you down.
The Pastor is not letting the Spirit of God move over the people. The Spirit gives them what they need to get well. The Pastor has an agenda-on what he wants to say. His teacher has told him, “This is how it is done. You write it down on paper the night before. Whether or not the Spirit shows up; you keep going with the paper.”
Actually, you walk out of church sicker than you were before you went in. You just keep going back each time because you think it’ll get better someday.
If some Pastors would let the Spirit of God move in the church, the Spirit can touch people and they would be healed.
Each day, when I look at a movie or anything in life, I ask the Holy Spirit to teach me what I should learn through this experience. We do nothing without Him knowing. If you listen to that still voice in your head, He will tell you what movie to pick out at the store. This is how much He loves us.
The Word is the Spirit of God. This is what drew people to Jesus and His disciples. The Spirit of God is released through His Word.
If you just read your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you, He will show you how Jesus is laughter, happiness, peace, love, and joy.
Let’s break the mold! We have it all wrong!
Go to church, and laugh with joy and do not let anyone stop you.
The movie ended with the young doctor, starting the first hospital where doctors treat the whole patient. They found that laughter helps the patients heal faster.
I am singing, dancing and praising my God for what breaking tradition (rules) really mean.
God Bless You

TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY

ANNIVERSARY 2ANNIVERSARY TWO YEAR IT’S BEEN TWO YEARS
I would like to take this opportunity to openly thank the Holy Spirit for guiding me and teaching me these last two years with my newsletters, ”A Word from The Forerunner”.
He has opened doors, which has helped me to reach more people than I ever thought possible.
I know that hearts have been touched and lives have been changed, since I started writing “A Word from The Forerunner”.
I thank my husband, Leo for his editing and patience with me when I stay up all night, writing and when I’m too tired to cook the next day. He knows when God calls I will answer.
Thanks to all my followers and friends, who have given me feedback and compliments.
I am looking forward to where God will take us the next two years.

A Word from The Forerunner
I write God’s message with sincerity and with Christ’s authority and knowledge that the God who called me is watching me.

UNDER THE BLOOD OF JESUS

UNDER THE BOOD OF JESUS JUNE 2014 UNDER THE BLOOD OF JESUS

We are under a new covenant; Jesus tells us “drink from it, all of you, for this is My blood of the new covenant”.
In the Old Testament, they had to kill a goat, sheep, or some animal to make atonement (satisfaction given for wrongdoing) for their sins (wrongdoings).
The animal’s blood covered their wrongdoing, not take it away only covered them. God overlooked their sins when people asked for forgiveness and made a blood sacrifice.
The GOOD NEWS is that we do not have to make blood sacrifices anymore. God saw that man could not keep all His laws and that one man should not be able to bring his whole house into sin.
Salvation should be a personal choice that we make. You see that when Abraham asked if the Lord would also destroy the righteous along with the wicked. Chapter 18:27-32
God has been trying to tell us for a long time to get it right. When man still did not get it, God sent His Son to help us, to teach us and show us how to live in this world but also not to become a part of this world.
The Word became flesh and Jesus, the Son of God entered the world.
The world rejected Him. They talked about Him, they stoned Him, they beat Him, they spat on Him, and with His bruised and bloody body, they marched Him down the street, to shame Him. When that was not enough, they crucified Him because of their unbelief.
God let that happen, so that His plan would be in place.
God saw you and me in Jesus even then! So, today we can stand and say that He took our shame, our bruises, our sins, and by the blood fallen from His stripes, we are healed.
Once, God showed me a picture of a waterfall and said, “That this is how My blood covers you.” You are always under the waterfall of My blood, whatever you do, or were ever you go My blood covers you.
Jesus blood was shaded for us, so we do not need to kill a goat or ox to cover our sins.
Jesus blood washed our sins away once and for all.
Jesus tells us whoever believes in Him is covered by His blood for the remission of their sins.
Whoever; that means you and me; it does not matter if your father or mother believes or not.
If you believe then “the blood that is constant flowing over you” covers you.
Amen
“I write God’s message with sincerity and with Christ’s authority and I know that the God who give them to me is watching me.”

A PRAYER FOR PEACE

a prayer for peace
A PRAYER FOR PEACE
(This Is My Christmas Prayer)

May this season bring you all that you are looking forward to. But most of all, I pray that it brings you to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
No! I do not pray that it brings you to God our Father, but to His Son.
For through His Son you will find the Father. Without the Son you cannot and will never find the Father.
Jesus tells us in John 14:6, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Through Jesus you will find all the love, peace, happiness, joy, and most of all you’ll find REST.
Rest from laboring; of the body, in the mind and yes, even in the spirit.
You will gain the confidence in knowing who you are and who your provider is. He (Jesus) will show you how to move in this world; the world we are living in right now.
It will not be easy; you may have to stop what you are doing and start doing something you’ve never done before.
Jesus will never give you something you can’t handle and He is always with you.
The world will tell you that “you’ve gone off” with your line of thinking. But you’ll have to know why you are moving in this new direction and stay on course.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all of you who labored and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Your fight is to learn to find rest in Jesus.
I pray that all will find His rest and in His rest your heart will be at peace. Your mind will be at ease, knowing that Jesus is with you, and that you’ll feel His love around you.
I pray that God through Jesus, touch you in a mighty way this year.
I pray that God through His Son, touch this world in such a mighty way that we will all know He is real.
With this, maybe we can all come together and live the way He intends for us to live on this earth; in peace, love, and joy.

Happy Birthday Jesus,and
Merry Christmas to all of you this season.

EXPLAINING CHRISTMAS

EXPLAIN CHRISTIMEEXPLAINING CHRISTMAS

                                                           (TO YOUNG CHILDREN)

Explaining Christmas to young children for parents (in America) can be difficult.

You are trying very hard to let your child enjoy the season but not lose focus on what the season is really about. And that is the birth of Jesus.

How do you explain the toys and the tree? And we won’t even start the talk about Santa Claus!

One way I’ve found to work, when my children were young, was to have a birthday party for Jesus.  Children truly understand birthday parties.

I would buy or make a cake that said, “Happy Birthday Jesus”.  Immediately after Christmas dinner, we would have a birthday party.

Many days before then, we would be getting ready for the big day – getting ready for the party.

I would tell them that Jesus loves them so much that He asked Santa Claus to bring them the toys that they asked for. And that Jesus received gifts when he was a baby but now all He wants from us is to love Him as He shares His love for the world.

The Christmas tree would be part of the dedication with all its lights and ornaments.

Even though we celebrate Christmas during the cold month of December, it was warm in the country where Jesus was born. Jesus was born in a warmer part of the world.  He was not lying in a cold manger as some may have thought.

We would then continue decorating and cooking for the party.  It would be a big party with everyone everywhere celebrating Jesus’ birthday. Jesus loves the whole world and we love Him because He first loved us.

Some people call it Christmas. Some call it a Christmas party but we call it “Jesus’ Birthday Party (The Holy Day).

God Bless You

WHEN GOD MOVE BUMSTICKER

PLACE FOR REST

Under the apple tree with the wind blowing by…

Under the apple tree beneath God’s blue sky.

Under the apple tree with the sun peeking through.

Under the apple tree just Him and you.

Under the apple tree, when He tells you that He loves you.

Under the apple tree, when His peace surrounds you.

Under the apple tree, when His grace covers you.

Under the apple tree, when your cares fade away.

Under the apple tree is when you know God is real.
